Hatters Fall to No. 11 Florida 8-0

Gainesville, Fla. -- For the second time in eight days, Stetson squared off against the 11th-ranked Florida Gators in a midweek tilt, this time at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium in Gainesville.  The Gators hit four home runs in Wednesday's contest and came away with an 8-0, 6-inning victory.  Florida also won 4-1 in DeLand a week ago.
  
Playing their fourth game against a Top 25 opponent and fourth game against an SEC opponent this season, the Hatters (18-16) put runners on base throughout the contest. Evette Morgan and Briana Robinson recorded hits while Alyssa Gilman, Annabella McClerren and Morgan each drew walks.

Lauren Hobbs got the start in the circle for the Hatters and fanned two over 3.1 innings.  Caitlyn Kulczyski pitched two innings of relief.

Florida (25-7) registered 12 hits in the game including long balls off the bats of Charla Echols, Reagan Walsh, Sarah Longley and Skylar Wallace.  Lexie Delbrey worked 4.1 innings to earn the victory.

The Hatters will continue their seven-game road trip this weekend in Nashville, Tenn.  Stetson and Lipscomb will play a 3-game ASUN Conference series beginning with a doubleheader at 2 p.m. ET Saturday.  Both of those games will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Sunday's finale will start at 1 p.m. ET.
