Daniels, a junior college transfer from Brevard Community College, was an electrifying player for the Hatters during his two seasons on campus (1976-78). Daniels was known for his high-flying dunks and lightning quick moves, which helped pack fans into the Edmunds Center. His dunking skills were so impressive they earned him the nickname "Dr. Dunk." Daniels holds the Stetson record for points in a single game with 48 against UNC Wilmington on February 19, 1977. Daniels led the Hatters in scoring in each his two seasons in DeLand, averaging 19.9 points per game as a senior and 19.3 points for his career. Both figures rank in Stetson all-time Top 10. As a junior, Daniels also averaged 10.6 rebounds per game, becoming one of nine players in program history to average a double-double for a season. A native of Clearwater, Fla., Daniels was inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998.
