Joan Kreider turned in an All-American career during a key period in the history of Stetson women’s tennis. Kreider, a native of St. Petersburg, Fla., was named an AIAW Coaches Small College All-American in 1978, and received doubles All-American honors in 1980. She helped Stetson to a third-place finish at the 1978 AIAW National Small College Tournament, and the Hatters finished fifth in 1979 and ninth in 1980. Kreider placed third nationally in doubles in 1979 playing with Sue Overvold. Kreider was inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2000.
