Fred Hogan made a significant impact on Stetson football teams after transferring from the University of Florida. A halfback for the Hatters, Hogan was team captain of the 1950 squad which posted an 8-2 record. Hogan began coaching after graduation and spent 14 seasons as the head coach at Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach. He was inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame in 1980.
