Third baseman Mike Fulford was named first-team All-American in 1970 after hitting .331 and driving in 46 runs. He and teammate Tony Latour, also honored that same season, were the first All-Americans in program history. Fulford helped the Hatters to a 34-14 record the school’s first NCAA Regional appearance. Fulford was inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame in 1985.
