Author of four no-hitters and one perfect game, Shannon Dowdy is one of the top pitchers in Stetson softball history. A four-year letter winner (1991-94) for the Hatters, Dowdy completed her career as Stetson’s all-time leader in strikeouts (474) and earned run average (1.36). A four-time first-team All-ASUN selection, Dowdy still holds the Stetson season record for ERA (0.80, 1993). An Auburndale, Fla., product, Dowdy was inducted into the Stetson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001.
