Right-handed pitcher Chuck Beale was a stalwart for the Stetson baseball starting rotation throughout the mid-90s. From 1993 to 1996, Beale piled up 36 victories which, nearly a quarter century after his playing days ended, is still the program record. Beale’s 3.26 career ERA is still among the top marks in Stetson annals, and his 54 career starts was one shy of the school record upon his career’s completion. With 291 career strikeouts across 417.0 innings pitched, Beale was not only durable but effective. A native of Dublin, Ga., Beale was a first-team All-TAAC selection in 1994. He pitched four seasons in the Boston Red Sox minor league system after being selected in 20th round of the 1996 June Amateur Draft.
